The Doll Effect

We have closed the door on Season 2A of Bring It. We have watched 5 beautiful young women, go from being kids to being grown, moving into the next phase of their lives. We know from the latest statistics and ratings, Bring It, has been a huge success. Coming in 5th place for Social Engagement for TV Shows on Cable...for the shows airing the week of April 20th. Rentrak Stickiness Is One of The Top TV Ranking sites in the Entertainment World.
Not to mention, blowing up Twitter several times, over the course of this Season. Any reasonable thinking person, would have to say....The Dolls Are ROCKIN IT, across America and in many parts of the World. This Blog has been read in Russia, Poland, UK, Jamaica and other places and has gotten over 10,000 views...so I know they are being seen all over.

When Dianna and the Dolls first came on, we knew they were red hot, but I think folks wondered how far it would go. We were amazed at their dancing and their talent but after the first few shows, we all realized that it was more than just dancing. There was Mama Drama...Dianna showing us how Coaching works and the amazing transformation of everybody in the Dollhouse Dance Factory family.

The underlying attraction to the show was thousands and thousands of young girls, watching regular girls, like themselves, doing something great and succeeding at it. Something that has given them ambition and dedication, in their own lives. We are going to name it, the "Doll Effect". I have watched it in my own granddaughter. When she first saw Bring It, she was hooked. When I asked her about it, the first words from her mouth...was, "Yea, Ms Dianna don't play about dancing"!...LOL..

She has participated in the Dance Camps, been my riding buddy down to Mississippi, to see them in person and is signed up for the Dallas Camp in July. Her goal is to play basketball and go to college, but her love of dancing, has been the motivator for many other things in her life. She has seen, if you are willing to go for your dreams, you can do anything. I am sure this has been, the same reaction many young girls have had. The "Doll Effect" has taken a hold in the lives of many and is motivating many.

I don't know if Dianna KNEW, when she started this whole TV Show journey, she would have such a huge impact, on so many lives. She knows, what she does, works for the girls that physically come through the Dollhouse, but I am not sure she has grasped, just how big this whole thing really is. Her recent trip to South Africa was probably a huge clue, but being humble and never self gratifying, she wouldn't take credit for just how much influence, she really has.
And not just her influence, but the whole Mother-Daughter relationship playing out on TV, is a huge influence factor. How often do we see real life Mothers and Daughters dealing with real life issues. And these Moms aren't Hollywood and rich. These Moms are just as down to earth and everyday folks as you or I. We have fallen in love with who they are and how much they love their families. We watch them struggle with fame and with the many things being on TV has created in their lives. Both good and bad. So many of us can identify with their lives, before Bring It and how they must be feeling, learning to live, in this exciting new life.

I enjoy the excitement and fun that Bring It, brings each week. I enjoy the great conversations on the Social Media sites, about the show. It has been a blast to meet many of the cast and to get to know them over the last year and some months, through Social Media. It has all been a wild ride, but for me, the memories and the things that will last are the wonderful lessons and the beauty of watching girls blossom, into strong young women. Women who are ready for the world and what it will throw at them. Those are the things that keep me watching this show... The "Doll Effect"!

We know that Bring It isn't slowing down and would appear to be picking up even more steam. Season 2B is just around the corner. We are all anticipating more fun plus lots of new things happening. With new Co-Captains taking the floor and girls graduating from the Baby Dolls, we know the dancing is going to be bigger and better than ever. We also know, we will all be neck deep in the business of the Dolls. Watching and loving them...getting new favorites and defending and bragging on Social Media...anything DD4L.

It has been an amazing journey, for the Williams Family of Jackson Mississippi and for the entire Dollhouse Factory Family. I foresee a much more exciting ride to come.  I also see many more wonderful memories for the girls and for the thousands of fans, that love being there on Friday Nights. The "Doll Effect" has taken America by Wildfire...and continues to burn into the hearts and homes of us all. We can hardly wait for Season 2B, but will watch reruns and post pics on Social Media, to hold us over, until July. We pray for Dianna and the girls, as well as the DDP. Being on TV looks easy but when you see the things they deal with, you know it isn't. We hope they know, we will always support you and defend you. Thanks for what you do...The Doll Effect &  DD4L...Are YOU READY?

Pynk Diamondz In The House, Representing Cincinnati, Ohio

Hey DDS Nation! Let me introduce you to one of the hardest working Dance Teams in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Pynk Diamondz. The PD's Director is Ms Tamera Coates. Tamera is a Coach, as well. PD's, Co Director & also Coach is, Lashay Kennedy. Tamera and Lashay founded the Pynk Diamondz 1 year ago, June 10th. Both Tamera and Lashay graduated from the Performing Arts High School in Cincinnati. Tamera's younger sister, Kellye Coates also coaches at PD. Jayvonte Stanford is the choreographer who brings the sync and flair, to the amazing dances the Pynk Diamondz perform.

Tamera told us, the Pynk Diamondz, chosen form of dance is majorette, though they teach all kinds of dance. Majorette style dance offers many opportunities to incorporate other dance styles into the program, such as hip-hop. Just like the Dancing Dolls, they strive for creativity and versatility in their routines.Tamera said  "Dance of all kinds is beautiful and we want to capture as much of that beauty, that LIFE, as possible".

Pynk Diamondz have a full program of 50 dancers, ranging from 6-19. As with all activities, there are kids graduating or moving and then there are tryouts that either lessens or adds to the team. The PD attend competitions throughout the Cincinnati Metro area and across the Tri-State area, which includes Kentucky and Indiana. They are hoping to travel down South, to their first competition, down in our part of the world, later this year.
Just like all true organizations that work hard to provide activities for kids, money is always an uphill climb. They have to raise money to travel and get costumes and every other detail that comes up. But Tamera's faith and hard work is something that pushes the Pynk Diamonds to keep going and to keep on keeping on. Tamera told us, "Funds are limited but, in due time and Lord willing, it will happen."

We wanted to know what the Coaches thought, Dance brought to the lives of their team. Tamera told us, "Dancing has brought so much life to these ladies, since we started the Diamondz. The girls transformation has been amazing. The turn around, their perseverance, and their determination is nothing short of amazing, as well."

She told us that the Pynk Diamondz have kids, whose parents have been lost, to violence, siblings to horrible illness and currently have an amazing young lady, who has cancer, that dances beautifully. Her cancer is in remission but through all of her chemo and treatments, she refused to feel sorry for herself or allow anyone else to feel sorry for her.

Tamera told us though she was limited in her ability, to practice normally, she never stopped. Now, with the cancer in remission, she is dancing Harder Than EVER! "Dancing gives life and it can SAVE LIVES too," Coach T told us. She has seen grades get better, behavior get much better and definitely a great improvement in attitudes.

Kids who previously were asking, "What Future?" have become young women who are now saying..."Any future I WANT!" Tamera said, "This is the values we want to and feel we have instilled. They all have beautiful BRIGHT, FULFILLING FUTURES." She said that traveling and meeting people from other places, gives them a broader view of the world. They see that no matter how DIFFERENT folks are, there are things that connect us all, that are amazing. Being involved gives them discipline and responsibility, she told us. She also said, "We encourage, Faith, Family, Friends, Self Worth and Personal Strength." A combination, we know builds strong women.

The Pynk Diamondz Captains are: Monique Kannler, Sr. Head Captain, Monjae Sanders, Sr. Captain, Shaunai Frazier also, Sr. Captain and Kourtney Lee is Jr. Head Captain. Hey from DDS Nation Beautiful ladies!

Of course, you are wondering about Baby PD...lol...yes we asked that too. And yes there is a Baby team. They are called the Diamond Minnies! They are 6-10 years old. But Coach T was quick to let us know, just like our Baby Dolls, that Baby part, means nothing. She told us the younger girls feel they have something to prove to their older sisters, so they are always working twice as hard as the older girls. She said, "Don't let the name "MINNIE" FOOL YOU...BIG THINGS COME IN MINI-SIZED packages...LOL..Yes maam, we certainly understand that.

Our last question to the Pynk Diamondz was, would they like to compete with the Dancing Dolls? We loved her answer. She told us, " We would LOVE to compete against the Dolls!!!" She said they had answered the call, when the Dolls were looking for other teams, interested in competing. She said, they did tryouts, but were not chosen. Another team that the Pynk Diamondz beat, was chosen instead.

Tamera is faithful to her belief that hard work pays off. She feels that their team needs to focus on getting better, all the time. She knows they are a young team still and her hope is to keep working and practicing and maybe down the road, the Pynk Diamonds will get their chance to stand toe to toe with the Dancing Dolls. She knows it would be the experience of a lifetime for them. But until then, she said, they will keep watching the Dolls and loving what they do. They are all huge fans and follow the Dolls, as a part of DDS Nation.

We loved doing this interview with Tamera Coates. She is smart and loves her dancers. Her and Lashay's dedication and love to their mission of teaching dance and teaching life lessons, is something that shines in their team. We look forward to following the Pynk Diamondz on their journey. Check out their FB page and say hi to them from our DDS Nation. Thanks Tamera and Lashay...We love you guys...Keep on doing what you do! We will be watching your success!

OMG? DA' HELL HAPPENED?

Well, you guys, I normally only write once a week about our girls but damn, I couldn't wait until next week to talk about this show. I sat in front of my TV and from the second the show came on, it was more emotion filled that all of the other shows put together. And child, when Dianna come out the door of the Dollhouse on Selena, I had to back up on my couch.

Dang, what the heck got into Selena? LOL! She was mad as heck about her girls. You never see Selena act like that.
That was just the tip of the iceberg for Friday Night! When the Dolls got to the competition, they were facing the Miami SupaStarz. As you know, the Dolls put their stamp on Miami, in the first show of this Season. I witnessed that whooping personally in Mississippi! Dianna knew Tracy would be on the top of her game and would not be coming with less than perfection. However, Dianna was not ready for Virtuous Divine and the Dazzlin Starz.

It was a strange night, to put it mildly. We watched the girls practice and prepare for the competition and even then, it seemed they just were not getting into the whole thing. The Ace in the hole, Andre looked great at first. He came out at practice rockin the backflip, until he hit the mirror. The breakdown was almost too much for everybody but he seemed to recover and was ready to go at competition. But it just seemed like the whole thing was not coming together, from the second they entered the building.

We know that Tracy don't play and she doesn't show up, unless her girls are ready to go. She capitalized on the day by talking tons of trash. She basically called the Dolls out. Her team showed confidence and high energy from the second they walked on the floor. They not only came out with extravagant, festive costumes, they had actual drummers, play traditional tribal drums. But the kicker of the night was Tracy. A big box was pushed out on the floor and when it opened, out popped Tracy, shined and in buff condition, taking over the dance floor. The crowd went nuts of course.

When the Dolls finally got to the floor, for the creative dance, they just didn't pull it together. The theme was great...but I think it got lost in translation, somehow. By the look on Ms. D's face, she knew it too. The Stand Battle should have been a comeback, but I think the letdown from the Creative Dance was still weighing heavy on the minds of the girls. They did a great job but I think it was just one of those days when everything seems to go differently than expected.

Of course, we saw it happen...the Dancing Dolls went home without a trophy of any kind..Nothing! I don't think I have seen anything so sad. The girls, Ms D...and then there was Rittany...I started crying. I felt so bad for her.. As she talked about having put her heart into the Dolls and how much it was hurting to see them do so bad, I couldn't help, but think of how it affects the Moms I see, at different functions for my Grandchildren. When the kids lose a game or they don't do well or they get a raw deal in scoring, the Parents are deeply affected as well. When you take your child, day after day, to something they love to do...then you see them lose or they mess up or whatever...it breaks your heart...for them and for the team..So, it was a hard thing, for us all to watch, from our homes and definitely a tough thing for our girls to be going through.

So now what? Well, my best guess is, Ms. Dianna took all of this in stride...She was mad as hell last night...between Selena at the beginning and the loss at the end..she probably just wanted to go sit in a lounge chair, with a tall cold drink, with an umbrella in it...LOL..But we know already that Dianna is a fighter and those girls are dang sure fighters...This was just a wake up call. They have been winning and Stamping their way across the South...

But, every Team loses..Ms D said that too. It's okay...We are going to come back.. Stronger...Tougher...and More Focused than ever before. No Doubt! No Question!

So, as the loss carried over into today, we have watched the fans vs the haters emerge, yet again. LOL..too funny. However, the REAL FANS...are standing up and shouting out and holding up the Dancing Dolls after last night. They have come out louder and more supportive than ever...though the haters, are talking...no way they can talk over the Supporters...We are here and we are loud! We did feel bad for Tawantza, who is outspoken and straight up, says what she thinks! She made the comment about how good the Miami Team was...Social Media set her on fire! No matter what; Fans...Honesty is something Dianna lives by and if we are all HONEST, we have to offer congrats, to Tracy and the Miami team for a job well done..So let's not crucify Tawantza for being an honest person and having the good sportsmanship, to offer positive feedback instead of being sour grapes.

This loss was tough, but Dianna is unbothered by all of it. She was on a plane to South Africa to promote the Dolls today...Life moves forward and so do the Dancing Dolls. Their reach is phenomenal and they are not stopping halfway through this journey. I know, as a True Fan, they are going to be working harder than ever. Ms. D is already planning bigger and better dances. She said last night, the next team on the list is going to pay the price of this loss..because this is the motivation to be so good the next time, no way they will walk away empty handed. We all know...Dianna don't play and she don't say it, if she don't mean it.

We are going to work harder than ever to show our support to Dianna and the Dolls...We know they are going to come back to kick butt and to do what we know they can do!

No Worries Dolls...We Are Here! We Are DDS NATION!...#DD4L...#DD4L!  JE

Bring It Is Back...Watch Out PrimeTime Friday's...The Dancing Dolls Are Bringing The Fire Again!!

"Ding, Ding, Let's Go" Ms D. proclaims. Wow, we have missed you Ms. D. The anticipation over the last few months has been painful, to say the least. Fans & Supporters of the Dancing Dolls have filled in the break period with reruns and youtube videos.

But, the wait is over. In less than 48 hours, Bring It, will hit Primetime TV with a showdown with Miami. Of course this my personal favorite episode this Season because it is the one we went to see in person with my babies and the other DDS Family. Our trip to Mississippi to see the Battle with the SupaStarz in Vicksburg, was amazing. Can't wait to see it ..Can't give away the results, you will just have to tune in.

For all of the folks who watch Bring It, you know what that Miami Supastarz means Ms Tracy and all glitz and flair they bring to the competition.  They have emerged as one of the top teams to battle against the Dolls. They never come unprepared and they always come with that Miami attitude. This Season promises to be better than ever.

If you have seen the promo's for Season 2, you know there is new blood coming to the Dollhouse. There will be a new dancer in the midst and a new mom. From the looks of the clips I have seen, she is going to have a hard road to travel, to get the attention she is looking for, from the other DDP Moms. She is vying for her daughter's place on the floor. And Ms. D is coming with a new attitude this season. She says, "I'm gonna put the baddest heffa's on the floor"! And Ms. D. don't play favorites, nor does she take any mess, from anybody! Which means Lookout America!...The Dolls ain't playing and they ain't backing down!

As we have seen over the break, though the show hasn't been on as usual, the Dolls never stopped working, after the Season on TV ended. Kayla, Sunjai, Camryn, Chrystianna and of course our Baby Dancing Dolls, haven't stopped for a second. They have worked harder than ever to get ready for this new Season. The Battle for the Best Dance Teams in America is getting ready to begin.

With each Season, comes new recognition for the Dancing Dolls. This off season has brought more training camps, more high profile exposure for Dianna and the Dolls. Their popularity has grown so much, Dianna is planning a trip to Africa, for interviews and other new ventures. From places across the World, people are getting to know the Dolls and are excited for them to come to their cities. It has been amazing to watch the love for them grow. It would seem that dancing crosses all language and cultural barriers.

Our girls, that we all love so much, are getting new opportunities as well. They are exploring their options for life after the Dolls and for ways to continue to live their dreams.  We continue to wish them the best things possible, as they grow into their stardom. We are sure their experiences with the Dolls is going to carry them well, throughout their lives.

We have seen through the off season, their family attitude isn't just for show, it is for real. As if filming, competing, going to school and just living & working aren't enough, the Dolls family has experienced much real life sadness. They continue to prove to us, the courage and character of everyone involved, by the way they handle tragedy. The real life responses to these kinds of things, makes them even more of a role model to us. The grace and love and support they show each other, as well as continued strength, gives us life lessons to remember.

As we start this New Year with a New Dancing Doll Season, we are all excited for them and are curious to see what the year brings.. It would seem it is off to a great start with their new "Bring It" contest, featuring Tinashe. If you haven't heard her new single, "All hands on deck", it is a great song. Watch the Dolls here dancing to Tinashe's new song : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seRLrLTBcy0&feature=youtu.be
Bring it is using the song in the new promo for the Dolls. Check out the contest and see if you can "Bring It" good enough to win. Get the details here. http://www.howibringitsweeps.com/

We know every episode of the New Season is going to be fantastic. It is also going to be in a much better spot this season. Bring It has moved from Wednesday to Friday, in primetime. This is going to increase their popularity and their exposure across the country. Folks that couldn't watch before, because of work, will be able to tune in each week now. So mark your calendars now...Friday, January 23rd 9 pm eastern/8 pm central, the competition begins again.

As we go into this new Season, we are going to be here talking about the Dolls and about the show. Our first interview with Kayla was great. Watch for more interviews with members of the Dolls, as well as, in-depth stories on What its like to be an up and coming Doll, and what it takes to be a DD parent. Also will be posting info on their upcoming training camps and places they are going to be.

Don't miss anything this Season...Watch the Dolls Bring The Fire To Lifetime TV Again! How Do You Bring It?

The DDS Nation Family 2014

Merry Christmas Dancing Dolls Supporters Nation. #DDSNATION.  Well, what a year it has been. 2014 has definitely been, the Year of the Dolls. We couldn't have predicted last January, what an exciting year it would be, for so many people. Dianna Williams and The Dollhouse Dance Factory started this year off with a huge blast. They set Lifetime TV on fire with an excitement, that continues to roll across America and across the World.

Their popularity has crossed lines of age and location. It may be, they are one of the hottest reality TV shows, to ever hit Lifetime. Everyone in the show is a star. Whether it is Dianna or one of the Dancing Dolls or even the Dancing Doll Parents, America knows their names. They tune in to every show and search social media, to get the latest information about all of the people they love.

Of those people who dearly love the Dancing Dolls, DDS Nation would probably be the most recognized. From the beginning, Lynnette Day, Founder of the Dancing Dolls Supporters Facebook Page and unquestionably, their biggest Fan, has worked tirelessly to build fan support and to show support to Dianna and the Dolls. She didn't realize when she started the Facebook page, just how much it would grow and how it would take on a life, all its own. Now, almost a year later and over a thousand supporters, the DDS Page is not just about showing support for The Dancing Dolls Family, it is also about new found friends and relationships.

We have all taken time from our lives to participate on the Dolls Supporters Page, because of what Dianna stands for and because of the commitment she has to teaching girls important life lessons. As we have taken time for that, we have also gotten to know each other. We  have formed life long friendships and have participated in each others daily struggles. We have cheered each other on, comforted each other on tough days and patted each other on the back when we saw a fellow supporter, winning in life.

Our recent trip to Mississippi was the first of many to come. Lynnette said, Road Trip..we responded. We drove from various locations across the country to meet and support Dianna and the Dolls. We raised money, sent and took supplies and lots of love to Jackson. We made our best efforts to let them know how much they mean to so many folks.

Just like the Dolls are evolving and growing in everything they do, the true Fans and Supporters are growing and evolving as well. Being involved in a huge group of people gives you so many perspectives to consider on many topics. Not just the show, but real life issues and situations. We exchange ideas and opinions and call each other out on things that confuse us. Nobody knew a year ago, we would be in this place at the end of the year.

The bonds that have been created because of the Fan based connection to Dianna and the Dancing Dolls, is like no other, I have experienced. As we continue to cheer them on, we are also building a family that doesn't just talk about the show, but a real family that cares if someone we know, is sick or is not around or needs a shoulder or a helping hand. When Lynnette posts a "Good Mawning", we all check in, to say it back. If someone doesn't check in for a day or so, we check on them, to be sure they are okay. Our motto, I think is: Family isn't always about blood, its about the people who accept you for who you are and are there to support you, when you need it. (taken from Daily Quotes).

As we begin 2015 with many personal hopes and dreams, we also begin a New Year with the Dancing Dolls. We know already that when the New Season starts in January, it is going to yet again, set the world on fire. The wonderful things that are happening for Dianna and the entire cast of Bring It, is amazing to watch and such a joy for all of us in DDS Nation.
Seeing the hope and the dedication that Dianna has for her girls, though she has definitely gotten a lot more famous, is why her Supporters stay with her. We are going to continue our undying dedication to supporting and following the Dancing Dolls and Bring It on Lifetime TV. We are excited to see the upcoming season begin.

As we close our these last few weeks of 2014, we all feel blessed and humbled by the experiences of this last year. We have all seen how God's hand is in all of this, for all of us. We are thankful for new friends(family), made through DDS Nation. We look forward to upcoming events in 2015 and the opportunities for stronger bonds and lifetime friendships. We will all be here to scream and cheer, defend and encourage and hold up Dianna and the Dancing Dolls. We will also be here to hold each other up, as we all face life on a real and daily climb..

Merry Christmas Dianna & All of the Dancing Dolls! Happy New To All! God Bless!
God Bless DDS Nation! 2015 is going to be a Year To Remember! Are You Ready To Bring It?

Going To Jackson

Well, tomorrow, DDS Nation is headed to Mississippi. A bunch of Dancing Dolls Supporters are going down to show support for Dianna and The Dancing Dolls at a couple of events. We are all excited to get the chance to show our support at a competition. Though many aren't able to go this weekend, we are united in spirit..They are shouting from their homes..supporting us going to support Dianna and the Dancing Dolls...We are a huge family and we are pulling together to show that support.

As we pack up and get ready to go, we are all thinking about the past season of Bring It and how it fired us all up. Each week we have gathered on Social Media and posted our thoughts and excitement about each upcoming episode on Wednesday.

Anticipation of every competition began 5 minutes after midnight on Wednesday. Facebook buzzing with everybody's thoughts on each segment of the previous nights dance. Talking about the next episode all the way up till time for it to air. The comments, always positive, flow on the Supporter page throughout the day.

If you are thinking these are KIDS making these comments..you would be wrong..These are moms and grandmothers and grown women who have fallen in love with the Dollhouse Dance Factory, Ms. Dianna Williams and the Dancing Dolls. They clear their schedules each week to be in front of the TV when Bring It comes on.

We have seen with the huge fan base that the Dancing Dolls have, their appeal is not limited to an age group, ethnic group or career group. It spans across the normal boundaries to a like minded group of people who love to see the excitement and hard work these ladies put into their dance training and their dance competitions.

Our trip this weekend to Jackson is a testament of that appeal. Though many are traveling several hours to get there, people are loading their cars tomorrow, on a mission to show their support at the next competition the Dancing Dolls are participating in.

We are hoping to be the solid fan support that keeps the Dancing Dolls, out in the limelight. We are talking about them, sharing information & going down to visit, to that end. We know the mission of Dianna Williams and the Dollhouse Dance Factory. We know it is bigger than TV. Though there are many look alike dance teams, who seem to be determined to copy the Dancing Dolls, not only in the way they dance but by using their call letters with their logos.

We know, there is only one DD4L and though others may add the 4L to their names..it will never be the same as the Dancing Dolls...Ms. D has made that term, synonymous with her brand. Others may come out trying to show, they can be Ms. D, but, they can never have the passion and the heart she brings to "Bring It" and to the girls she in charge of.

DD4L is bigger than a TV show and no matter the status of the show, DD4L has a following like no other. The Fan Supporters are a part of a movement to teach our girls to be strong and independent. It is a Dianna Williams movement. An Independent, Hard Working, Caring Woman, who wants everybody's lives she touches, to be empowered and aware of the potential they have to be, what they desire to be.

Sadly, so many other dance teams would also be beneficial for our young women, if they taught them the value of being original and standing on their own merit vs adopting someone else's ideas.

We plan to rock the house on Sunday supporting our Dolls...Stand down look alikes...We don't do fake.....See you in Jackson DDS NATION...

WE ARE DDS NATION...FROM COAST TO COAST..SUPPORTING THE DANCING DOLLS THE MOST.....DD4L....
